Bebgur explains how things work in Georgia and helps you take the next step, from your first days in the country and renting a flat to a residence permit, a bank account and your own business.
Georgia at a glance
Georgia lies in the Caucasus, between the Black Sea and the mountains. Citizens of many countries can enter without a visa, and registering as an individual entrepreneur or opening a bank account takes just a few days.
Altitude makes a big difference, so the climate and seasons in Georgia vary noticeably between the coast, Tbilisi and the mountains. For visitors, the real risks are the roads and the mountains rather than crime, so safety in Georgia comes down largely to how you get around.
