Tbilisoba 2026 Will Be Held on 3 and 4 October in Rike Park, Europe Square and the Old Town

Tbilisoba, the annual festival of the Georgian capital, will be held on 3 and 4 October 2026. The dates and venues were announced by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze at a meeting of the city government, SOVA reports.

Where the festival takes place

Events are spread across the Old Town and the area around the Metekhi cliff. According to Tbilisi City Hall, the venues are:

• Rike Park
• Orbeliani Square
• Gudiashvili Square
• Leghvtakhevi
• Europe Square
• Metekhi Bridge

What is on the programme

Both days will include children's concerts, entertainment and sports events, with music and theatre performances in the evenings. The venues will have art installations, photo zones, recreation areas, an open-air cinema and food courts with Georgian and international cuisine.

There will also be culinary demonstrations and a fair of traditional sweets, honey and wine. On 4 October at 20:00 the city will hold the ceremony awarding the title of Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi, with a live broadcast.

The full programme with timings for each venue is published on the Tbilisi City Hall website. The government has allowed the city to spend up to GEL 3,114,727 from the 2026 municipal budget on the festival through simplified procurement, Georgia Today reports.

How to get there

The centre is easier to reach by Tbilisi metro than by car. The nearest stations are Avlabari for Rike Park and Europe Square, and Liberty Square for Orbeliani Square and the Old Town.

Drivers should also keep in mind the Rustaveli Avenue works. Under the scheme City Hall announced on 21 July, traffic on the avenue from Tamar Chovelidze Street to Liberty Square is closed for four months during the rehabilitation.
