Basisbank Cards Now Work at Liberty ATMs on the Same Terms: Over 700 ATMs in One Network
Basisbank said on 6 October that its cardholders can now withdraw cash at Liberty ATMs on the same terms and tariffs as at its own machines. Liberty cardholders get the same access to Basisbank ATMs.
Basisbank cards were served on the bank's own terms at Basisbank ATMs and at partner banks. Liberty ATMs have now been added, and Liberty cards work at Basisbank ATMs on similar terms.
Holders of any type of Basisbank card can now withdraw cash at Liberty ATMs on the same terms and tariffs that apply at Basisbank's own machines. Basisbank announced the change on 6 October, and Interpressnews also reported it. Liberty cardholders can use Basisbank ATMs on similar terms.
According to Basisbank, the joint network of the group now has more than 700 ATMs across Georgia.
What works at the other bank's ATM
With a Basisbank card at a Liberty ATM, three operations are available:
- cash withdrawal with a physical card
- contactless cash withdrawal, including with Apple Pay and Google Pay
- balance check
The PIN code can only be changed at ATMs of the bank that issued the card. A Liberty customer who needs a new PIN still has to find a Liberty ATM.
Partner banks' ATMs
Basisbank cardholders can also withdraw cash on the same terms at ATMs of these banks:
- TBC Bank
- Halyk Bank
- Cartu Bank
- Ziraat Bank
- Silk Bank
For Liberty cardholders the bank lists TBC Bank, Terabank, Silk Bank and Cartu Bank.
Who this concerns
The change covers cards issued by Basisbank and Liberty, including cards of foreigners who opened a personal bank account in Georgia at one of the two banks. The announcement gives no fee amounts: it refers to the tariffs already in force at the issuing bank.
Cards issued abroad are not mentioned in the announcement. ATM fees for foreign cards in Georgia are set by each bank on its own.
The service is already working. Basisbank has not given an end date.
