TBC Bank is returning 50% of the fare to customers who pay for municipal public transport with its cards in six Georgian cities. The conditions are published on the bank's official offers page, which gives no end date: the bank does not report how long the offer will run.
Where the offer works
The cashback applies to any municipal transport in these cities:
- Batumi
- Kutaisi
- Rustavi
- Gori
- Borjomi
- Zugdidi
Tbilisi is not included, so public transport in Tbilisi is charged at the usual fare even when you pay with a TBC card.
Who can take part
According to TBC Bank, any of its cards qualifies, including payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay. Business cards and pupil cards are excluded. The bank sets no limit on the number of trips or on the total cashback.
To use the offer you need a TBC card, which comes with a personal bank account in Georgia at this bank.
How the money comes back
Half of each fare is credited immediately after the payment is confirmed, as points in the bank's ertguli loyalty programme. The bank says the accumulated cashback can be transferred to any account and spent on anything.
The bank reserves the right not to credit cashback for transactions it considers suspicious. The offer is in effect now, and its end date is not published.
