Gas Cut in Tbilisi's Varketili on 15 October: Supply to 8,000 Customers Back by 20:00

About 8,000 customers in Tbilisi's Varketili district and nearby areas have had no gas since 01:00 on Thursday, 15 October. Supply stopped after a medium-pressure gas pipeline on the Varketili Upper Plateau was damaged, Tbilisi Energy reports. The company's notice was published by Interpressnews and Metronome.

Which addresses have no gas

The company's list covers the Varketili Upper Plateau, parts of the III massif and the Airport settlement, and several streets:

• Varketili Upper Plateau: residential buildings A, B, 9-38, 49, 50 and 66; buildings 21-30 in the 2nd microdistrict; building 33a (33b); the buildings next to blocks 20, 47 and 51
• Varketili III massif: the building of former kindergarten No. 73
• Varketili farm: the residential building at Mshvidobis Street 1 and several nearby streets
• Airport settlement: the area around building 38, Aerodrome 13th Street 10 and Aerodrome 14th Street
• Gakhokidze Street: 1, 2, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 79
• Other streets: Tvalchrelidze 7, Trialeti 27, Samgori 2nd Street 2, Khomleli 5, Kaloubani 18 and 20-1, Maisuradze 1 and 5, Abashvili 11 and 20, Irina Shtenberg 4 and 20a
• Didi Lilo: part of the private houses near the village

Public School No. 152, kindergarten No. 115 and several companies and offices are also without gas. The company's full list is longer than this one, so if your building is nearby but you do not see it here, check with the hotline.

When gas returns

According to the Tbilisi Energy schedule, reconnection started on 15 October at 13:00. The company plans to have all customers back on supply by 20:00 the same day.

What to do

Make sure all gas taps in your home are closed and keep them closed until the supply is back. If you smell gas, call the Tbilisi Energy hotline +995 32 2404004 or the emergency service 114.
